    Published by The Journal News on Nov. 17, 1999. John James Gioffre of Harrison, NY died on November 16th, 1999 at the NY United Hospital Medical Center, Port Chester. He was 30 years old. Mr. Gioffre worked as a salesman for Nortel Communications, Inc. in NYC, NY. He was born on October 7, 1969 in Port Chester, NY, to Fred J. and Dana Palmer Gioffre. He is a graduate of the Port Chester Senior High School, graduated with a BBS after four years at Colgate University, and spent three years evenings at Pace Law School. On July 9, 1989, he married Sharon Gunderson at Our Lady of Mercy Church in Port Chester, NY. While in High School John was selected as All-Sectional in the three sports-football, baseball and wrestling. He excelled as an All-State linebacker in football at Port Chester Senior High School. He played four years of varsity baseball and three years of varsity football at Colgate University in Hamilton, before receiving his BBS degree. He is survived by his wife Sharon of Harrison, NY, his sons John and Zaccary Gioffre of the home address, his father and mother Fred J. and Dana Gioffre of Mamaroneck, NY, his brother Fred Gioffre, Jr. of Mahopac, NY, and his sister Jill Gioffre of the home address in Mamaroneck. Calling hours are on Thursday from 3 to 9pm at the James J. Gunipero Funeral Home, Inc. The Funeral Mass is Friday at Our Lady of Mercy Church, Westchester Avenue, Port Chester at 10am.
