Adventures in the new world: Jonathan Harvey was a young man who helped settle the new world when it was a new nation. He grew up in Mass but as a young man adventure called and he decided to head west to make his fortune. He traveled to Indiana which was not even a state at the time and in no time he was a young and up and coming business man. He married a young woman named Phebe Adkin who was also an adventuresome miss. He became an important man in the community of Rockport, Ind. Made his fortune and settled down to have 8 children. Its a mystery, because after the move he cut all ties with his family back in Mass. His children or grandchildren never knew where he came from or what brought him to Indiana. Was it a falling out with his family, did they all die? No one knows. To this day its The Harvey Mystery!! He was born around 1786, his parents were from England. Someday we would like to find out what really happened. Maybe someone reading this story will know!!??????????????????????
