He had siblings Stephen James Dragotto Sr., Josephine (Dragotto) Godish, Russell Salvatore Dragotto, Anna Marie (Dragotto) LaSpada, Gaetana Mary (Dragotto) Brown, Grazia DeGrotto, and Salvatore John DeGrotto. He married Annalee Olive (Fricke) DeGrotto on October 3, 1951 in Salem, Salem County, and they were married until Joseph's death on April 11, 2000 at Memorial Hospital-Salem County: Kamplain Trey L MD 310 New Jersey 45, in Salem. Joseph Degrotto had a child Joanne Marie (DeGrotto) Nelson.
