He had siblings Emily Victoria (Morcombe) Lugton, Alice Mary (Morcombe) Reynolds, Edith Rosetta Morcombe, Edward Wright Mordan, Edward Bodille Morcombe, Richard Palmer Morcombe, Bertha Ellen Morcombe, and William Daniel Morcombe. He married Florence Susan (Andrewartha) Morcombe in 1890, and had children Howard Bodille Morcombe, Aubrey Lanceslot Morcombe, Greta Florence Morcombe, and Muriel Victoria Morcombe. Joseph Morcombe died at age 75 years old on October 7, 1942.
