  • Professional Career

    Joe came to California migrating from Tuscaloosa, Alabama after WWII and worked menial task jobs at first while he and his brother also entertained the locals in Redlands with the “Old” country music playing guitar. He eventually became a policeman in Redlands, but eventually he became a cement truck driver for the teamsters and poured concrete at the veteran’s cemetery in Riverside, CA and told Bonnie, his wife that when he died he wanted to be buried there, so they sold their burial plots to n Redlands Memorial Park and upon his death made arrangements were made for his and Bonnie’s internment there.
