Joseph had three siblings, William, George, and Vincent Knipfing. On February 4, 1961, Joseph Knipfing Jr. married Janet B. Klein (December 5, 1938 - October 14, 2020) in Hempstead, New York, USA. They had three children together named Gary, Kevin, and Leslie Knipfing. Both Gary and Kevin are well-known in the entertainment industry.     Survived by: Janet - wife of 45 years Children - Gary, Kevin, and Leslie Grandaughter Sienna-Marie Brothers George and Vincent KNIPFING-Joseph Valentine, Jr., passed away peacefully on January 30, 2006 after a long battle with heart disease. He was 75. Born in Westbury, NY, on August 4, 1930, to Joseph and Helen Knipfing, Sr., Joe was a native of Long Island, NY where he was owner of an insurance business for over 30 years. He was a member of the Holy Name Society at Westbury Ministry, Young Republican Club, the Independent Insurance Agent, and member of Agents Insurance Council for several insurance companies. He was a past-President of St. James Chamber of Commerce. He recently resided in Encino, CA. Joe loved spending time with his family, traveling, spending time on the computer, watching the Mets and Notre Dame, and playing golf. He is survived by his wife, Janet of 45 years; children Gary, Kevin (Steffiana) and Leslie; granddaughter Sienna-Marie, all of California, and brothers George (Gloria) and Vincent, and numerous relatives. Joe will be deeply missed by his loving family. The family appreciates the prayers and condolences and the tremendous support everyone has provided. Especially the medical team at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, Dr. P.K. Shah and Dr. Steven Friedman. In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made to John Moram Stem Cell Center, University of Utah, Salt Lake City, UT, re: his daughter Leslie for retinitis pigmentosa research. Visitation will be held February 2, at Mission Hills Catholic Mortuary, 11160 Stranwood Ave., Mission Hills, CA, 5:00-9:00 pm, and vigil at 8:00 pm. Funeral services will be held February 3, 10:00 am, at St. Cyril of Jerusalem, 4601 Firmament Ave., Encino, CA. - Newsday on Feb. 2, 2006.

Before we dive into Kevin James’ family life, let’s take a brief look at his career. Kevin James was born on April 26, 1965, in Mineola, New York. He began his career as a stand-up comedian in the late 1980s and early 1990s.

His big break came in 1998 when he landed the lead role in the hit TV show “The King of Queens.” Since then, Kevin James has starred in many successful movies and TV shows, including “Hitch,” “Grown Ups,” and “Kevin Can Wait.”

Kevin James’ Wife

Kevin James’ wife is Steffiana de la Cruz. Steffiana is a former model who was born on August 28, 1974, in the Philippines. She moved to the United States as a child and grew up in New York. Steffiana and Kevin James met in 2001 while filming the movie “Stuck on You.” They began dating soon after and got married on June 19, 2004, in California.

Steffiana de la Cruz has appeared in a few movies throughout her career, including “Paul Blart: Mall Cop” and “Zookeeper.” However, she is best known for her role as Kevin James’ wife and the mother of their children.

Kevin James and Steffiana de la Cruz have four children together. Their first daughter, Sienna-Marie James, was born on September 30, 2005. Their second daughter, Shea Joelle James, was born on June 14, 2007. In 2011, Steffiana gave birth to their first son, Kannon Valentine James. Their youngest daughter, Sistine Sabella James, was born on January 14, 2015.

Kevin James and his family live in Delray Beach, Florida. Despite his busy schedule, Kevin James makes it a priority to spend time with his family. He has said in interviews that his family is the most important thing in his life. In their free time, the James family enjoys outdoor activities such as bike rides, swimming, and playing sports. Gary Valentine
Gary Valentine is a Long Island, New York-native who has been headlining comedy clubs and theaters for the past 20 years. After an appearance at the Montreal Comedy Festival in 1997, he headed to Los Angeles, and quickly landed a hosting job on the NBC show, “Friday Night Videos.” In addition, he did spots on various talk shows performing standup, including “Late Night with Conan O’Brien,” among others.

Gary was on the CBS comedy, “Kevin Can Wait,” for two seasons as Kyle Gable, Kevin’s fireman brother. He also appeared as Danny on “The King of Queens” for nine years on CBS, for which he also wrote several episodes. Additional television credits include, “Fargo,” “Chelsea Lately,” “Men of a Certain Age,” co-host of “The X Show,” and his own standup special, “Comedy Central Presents: Gary Valentine.” Gary also starred as George Bannister in a series of TV movies for ABC Family, “The Dog Who Saved Christmas,” and “The Dog Who Saved Christmas Vacation.”

His feature film credits include, “Paul Blart: Mall Cop,” “Paul Blart: Mall Cop 2,” “Here Comes the Boom,” “I Now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry,” “Zookeeper,” “Stuck on You,” “Poolboy: Drowning Out the Fury,” and the independent short, “Alive N’ Kickin’.”

He is an avid golfer, and plays in several golf charity tournaments each year, including BMW/Synnex Pro-Am, “Monday After the Masters,” hosted by Hootie and the Blowfish, and “The Drive,” hosted by Russell Wilson and Casey Kahne. In addition, he is actively involved with the JVK Foundation, named after his father, which supports various charities, including Retinitis Pigmentosa.

Gary is married, and lives on Long Island.
