He married Susannah Price Bennett in 1892, and had children Frances Lilian Elizabeth Maud Bennett, Clarice Victoria Winifred Irene Bennett, and John Gullick Price Bennett. Joshua Bennett died at age 65 years old on August 12, 1935 in Geelong.
