Note from producer Tracy Ullman about Joshua's death
The following was posted on Evil Lives Here facebook page on Wednesday January 9th 2019:
A note from our producer, Tracy Ullman: As the producer of this show, I contacted Joshua after reading about his experience in a newspaper article and wondering how he felt. When we finally made contact, we hit it off right away. Over months, Joshua unfurled the details of his journey: his tumultuous childhood that led to his service in Iraq, finding out his father had died only to come home from overseas for his funeral and realize his mother and sister had committed murder. How he got through that I'll never know, but he had a strength about him that allowed him to continue dreaming and thinking about the future. He had been driving a truck and wanted to move in with his aunt and uncle in New Orleans and work in forensics. We were talking about me fixing him up with a girlfriend. He had a marvelous sense of humor and a huge heart. I'm devastated to hear he died. He will be much missed and to his good friends and family, he was much loved.
