Joshua had one brother, Benjamin, and one sister, Megan. Joshua Thompson died at the age of 18 in a single vehicle accident in which he was the driver. Born in Connersville, Indiana. For the ten years prior to his death in a motor vehicle accident, Joshua had lived in Connersville and Fort Campbell, Kentucky. He died in Connersville at the age of 18 and is buried in Laurel North Cemetery in Indiana.

Born to Danny C. and Susan L. (Allen) Thompson, Joshua had one brother, Benjamin and one sister, Megan. Joshua's mother, brother, and sister survived him. His father, Danny, had died in 1986. He worked as an electrician's assistant for Eckart's Electric Service at the time of his death. Dying at the age of 18 in an automobile accident, Joshua never married.

Joshua Thompson, 18 Joshua Shawn Thompson, 18, of 7817 West Johnson School Road, Connersville, died at 8 p.m. Saturday, November 2, 196 north of Alpine, the result of a traffic accident. Born November 29, 1977 in Connersville, he was the son of Danny C. and Susan L. Allen Thompson. His mother survives in Connersville. He had lived the past ten years in Connersville in Fort Campbell, Kentucky. He was an electrician's assistant at Eckart's Electric Service. Surviving besides his mother are one brother: Benjamin Thompson of Connersville; on sister: Megan Stelle also of Connersville; maternal grandmother: Clara Allen of Connersville; paternal grandparents: Clayton and Mary Thompson of Laurel. He was preceded in death by his father: Danny Thompson in 1986 and a grandfather: Whitey Allen in 1986. Services are one p.m. Tuesday at Moster & Cox Mortuary in Laurel. Burial is at Laurel North Cemetery.
