2 St. Paul area women killed in head-on crash
Two St. Paul-area women were killed early Tuesday evening in a head-on auto collision on Hwy. 61 near Silver Bay, Minn. in Lake County.

The Lake County sheriff's office identified the victims as Joyce Boesiger, 30, 5349 Bald Eagle Blvd., White Bear Lake, and Sherill Hooker, 30, 1091 Goodrich Av., St. Paul.

Boesiger, the driver, died en route to the hospital. Hooker was dead at the scene, authorities said.

Four people in the other vehicle suffered minor injuries, according to the sheriff's office.
