Kathleen Ruthe (Keane) Collins was born in Oceanside San Diego to Timothy Martin Keane (1922-1988) and Blanche Eleanor (Lacombe) Keane (1922-1996) and had two brothers, and four half siblings including Denis Burton Keane (1949-1988). She married Rodney Collins on January 16th 1976 in San Diego California and they divorced on March 23rd 1995. Kathleen lived the last twelve years of her life in Borger Texas and worked as a teller and attended St. John's Catholic Church.

The following obituary appeared in the North County Times in Oceanside California on Tuesday May 9th 1995: BORGER, Texas - Kathleen Keane Collins died Friday, May 5, 1995, after a long illness, in Borger, Texas. She was born Aug. 27, 1955, in Oceanside, and was a graduate of Oceanside High School. She is survived by her husband, Rodney Collins; her mother, Blanche Keane; a sister, Judy Steen,; and three brothers, Time Keane, Dennis Keane and Martin Keane. Services will be held Wednesday, May 10, 1995, at 10 a.m., at the Mission San Luis Rey Chapel. The family requests contributions in her memory be made to the charity of your choice. The following was published in the Borger News-Herald, Monday, May 8, 1995: Kathy Collins, 39, Borger, died at 4:55 p.m. Friday, May 5, 1995 in Borger Care Center. Memorial services will be in Oceanside, Calif. Local arrangements are by Minton-Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger. A native of Oceanside, Calif., she had been a Borger resident for 12 years. She was a teller, and member of St. John's Catholic Church. Survivors include her mother, Blanche Keane of Oceanside, Calif.; three brothers, Tim Keane, Jr., Carlsbad, Calif.; Dennis Keane, San Marcos, Calif.; and Martin Keane of Vista, Calif.; a sister, Judy Steen of Carlsbad, Calif.; and best friend, Rod Collins of Borger.ADVERTISEMENT BYLooking for more information?
