Introduction

Kenneth Heiberg was a wonderful man. My family went to his Church in Bay Ridge and we are all going to be buried in the same cemetery. Kennth Heiberg joined the Big Brother Movement and taught my brother Johnny the printing business. My brother John R. Svendsen's funeral was at his Trinity Lutheran Church. Ken was a very good and generous man. Everyone in the family eventually was in the printing business.

The Big Brother Movement

They gave us a special cardboard book to collect dimes to put in slots for the Big Brother Movement.
Kenneth Heiberg was my big brother's Big Brother. I went door to door in the Red Hook Projects until the card was filled and handed it in. It was a worthy cause and I was proud of myself.
Kenneth Heiberg was a huge influence.
I ended up selling printing and had a sign company for 35 years selling and designing brass signs.
