She married Kelly Crawford, and had children Jessica Crawford and Gabrielle Crawford. Kim Crawford died at age 35 years old on December 23, 2001, and was buried on December 29, 2001 at Memory Cemetery in Page County, Page County.

    35 year old Kim June Nord-Crawford from Gretna, Nebraska left the earth to be with our Lord, on December 23, 2001. Her life was taken by a young man of drugs and alcohol, but due to these circumstances surrounding her death she saved her children. Had Kim not been in the right place at the right time her children would have died. She truly was and still is a devoted mother, because I do believe that she is now a guiding light in the darkness, an angel of light for both her girls, Jessica and Gabrielle. If this sounds like a movie made for Hollywood, you can bet it truly is. Maybe her part would be played by Julia Roberts. She was my sister, my beautiful sister, her tender heart and love for life, you could see it glow in her aura, the many colors of a rainbow. We should have known than that she already had her wings. You see, God had created a perfect angel. We had a connection that was based on the story of soulmates. And now that she is gone my future with her is a hidden chapter of a story left untold. Her children and our children and all those who have yet to come are missing out on such a beautiful gift. Kim was the glue that held this family together. Leaving behind a wonderful husband Kelly Crawford and two beautiful children Jessica and Gabrielle. Loved and cherished by her parents Richard and Annemarie Nord, her sister Brit, her brother Erik, her step-sisters Cheri and Kristine, and her step-bothers Jeff and Bob, and so many others who loved her. I wish I had the space and time to list them all. There were and are so many. I often wonder about the young man who had caused the accident that wintry cold morning. Where is he now, what is he thinking. Or does even think about that December 23 when they found him walking away from the scene that he just created. Does he know that he burrowed a hole in my heart that can never be filled. Or that my whole family is torn apart to where our names have become a distant echo. This one selfish act has only given me one thing, that is to love the ones that are in my life, not be afraid to tell them how much I love them, each and everyday. It has given me strength that I never knew I had. There is an angel in my heart, a candle in the darkness, I hear her and smell her at times, it is the one gift from her that this young man has not taken. Written with love by her sister Brit
