My mother Mrs. Laura Jean Walker-Lee was born January 20, 1953, in Jackson, Mississippi to the late Mrs. Sarah Walker-Wooten, also a native of Jackson, Mississippi, and the late Mr. Belton "Melvin" Wooten, a native of Cato, Mississippi. Laura was brought to Eudora, Arkansas at the age of 10 with her mother, the late Mrs. Sarah Wooten, after her father, Belton established work at a local sawmill in Eudora and gained the opportunity to obtain a rental house. Laura Jean Walker-Lee departed this thing as known to us as "life" on June 16, 1986. Laura gave birth to five children, two handsome men and three beautiful women, whom she dearly loved and dedicated her life while on this Earth. Laura had her first child at the young age of 15 years old, which was a handsome son, James Lowell Walker on July 23, 1968, and then her second son, Cedric Dewayne Walker on September 16, 1969, at the age of 16. She then went have her first daughter, Tracy Lanette Lee-Johnson, five years later on August 14, 1974, then her second daughter, Shawana Michelle Lee, on April 4, 1978. Four years later on exactly June 28, 1982, she birthed her third baby girl and last child known as LaTara Trinette Lee. Laura was known for her nice smile, kind-heartedness, and her genuine beauty inside and outside. No one had an evil or negative remark about Laura Jean. She was genuine, unique and just one of a kind. She always be remembered through her children and family forever and always.
