Lawrence Eugene Hamilton, 65, of Triangle died on June 21, 2007, at Golden Healthcare in Fredericksburg, Va. Lawrence was a son to the late Cecil and Lucille Irene (Barron) Hamilton born on June 7, 1942, in Oil City, Pa. Lawrence served our country for 20 years in the United States Marine Corps, which is truly who he was: a Marine, retiring with the rank of master sergeant; a member of the Marine Corps League Mickey Finn Detachment; a member of the Quantico Rod and Gun Club; a life member of the American Legion Post 290, Stafford, Va.; member of the Potomac Lions; member of the Military Order of the Devil Dogs; and retired from the Prince William County Park Authority, where he was a park ranger. He is survived by his sister, Nancy Huth of Titusville, Pa., brother William Watson of Triangle Va.; six nieces and nephews, Jeff Huth of Pa., Dawn Lynn Huth of Pa., Jeff Watson of Fredericksburg, Sandra Taleman of Fla., Stephanie Wilmont of N.C., and Jennifer Dith of Woodbridge; also 16 great-nieces and nephews. Friends will be received on Tuesday, June 26, 2007, for a visitation from 7 to 9 p.m. at Mountcastle Funeral Home, 4143 Dale Blvd., Dale City, VA 22193. Graveside service will take place at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, June 27, 2007, at Quantico National Cemetery. Added to obituary by granddaughter Elizabeth M. Hamilton, to reflect family's names, ages, and locations at the time of Lawrence's death: He is also survived by his ex-wife Constance (Connie) Louise Hamilton, now age 65, of Northampton, PA; son James Hamilton, age 42, of Oil City, PA; daughter, Maj. Julie Ann Hamilton (U.S. Air Force Reserves, Retired after 23 years in 2007), age 43, of Northampton, PA; and three grandchildren through Julie: grand-daughter Elizabeth "Liz" Michelle Hamilton, age 19; grand-sons Andrew John Hamilton-Kessner, age 15 and Nathaniel Spencer Hamilton-Jones, age 7.
