I was in the red Durango in comeaux park. I was almost home. Ancestry sent a notification that my DNA results were ready. When I looked at my list of relatives, boom. There it was, the last name of the man, my mother told me when I was 14, was my father's last name. I had been misspelling it. I was looking in all of the wrong places. The only part I had ½ right was that he did serve in the army in Vietnam. Unfortunately for me, he had died 7 years prior. So had his brother Leonard. I couldn't reach Carol. Everyone else i contacted didn't answer or knew anything.
