Lena Margaret (Finkenbinder) Molz of Syracuse, Hamilton County, Kansas United States was born on November 8, 1913 in Scott County to Sophie Isabel (Curtis) Finkenbinder and Albert W Finkenbinder. She had siblings Edna Lilah (Finkenbinder) Blase and Albert Leo Finkenbinder. She married Harold Molz on August 2, 1940, and they were married until Harold's death in June 1987. Lena Molz died at age 94 years old on April 15, 2008 at Hamilton County Hospital in Syracuse, Hamilton County, and was buried in April 2008 at Syracuse Cemetery in Syracuse.

    Lena Margaret (Finkenbinder) Molz, 94, died Tuesday, April 15, 2008, at Hamilton County Hospital in Syracuse, Kansas. She was born November 8, 1913, in Friend, Kansas to Albert and Sophie (Curtis) Finkenbinder. When she was 5, the family moved to Syracuse, Kansas and she attended Rising Star Country School. After completing her education, she met Harold Molz in the late 1930s. They married on August 2, 1940, in Garden City, Kansas. They lived in Syracuse for a short time before moving to a farm in Stanton County, Kansas living there for about three years before returning to Syracuse in 1945. Mrs. Molz was a member of Church of the Nazarene in Syracuse. A self-taught organist and pianist, she played for her own enjoyment as well as serving as the church organist for many years. She was an avid gardener, enjoyed growing flowers, loved to ride horses and herd cattle in the free range in her younger years, and especially enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. Her husband died June 26, 1987. She also was preceded in death by her parents; four brothers, Paul, Vernon, Lawrence and Albert Leo Finkenbinder; and four sisters, Edna Blase, Alta Lewis, Dolly Lewis and Ruth Finkenbinder. Survivors include numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral was at Church of the Nazarene, Syracuse. Burial was at Syracuse Cemetery.
