He married Lola Violet (Baldwin) Finkenbinder on July 15, 1931, and they were married until Lola's death on November 16, 1968. They had a child Wanda May (Finkenbinder) Stallings. He married Lily Vay (Slaven) Finkenbinder on September 27, 1969, and they were married until Albert's death on March 7, 2002.

    Syracuse, Kansas - Albert Leo Finkenbinder, 90, died Thursday, March 7, 2002. He was born November 15, 1911 in Friend, Kansas to Albert and Sophie (Curtis) Finkenbinder, the eighth of nine children. His family moved to northern Hamilton County, Kansas in wagons and on horseback to homestead when he was 6. Mr. Finkenbinder farmed and ranched in Hamilton County, Kansas until his retirement in 1983. He then moved to Haysville, Kansas where he enjoyed woodworking and gardening. He married Lola Baldwin on July 15, 1931. She died November 16, 1968. On September 27, 1969, he married Lily Slaven-Penney. She survives at Oklahoma City. He is also survived by a daughter, Wanda Stallings, Garden City, Kansas; four sons, Leo, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; Darl, Amarillo, Texas, Arthur, Scammon Bay, Alaska; and William of Clearwater, Kansas; a stepdaughter, Dawn Griffith, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; a sister, Lena Moltz, Syracuse, Kansas; seventeen grandchildren; and nineteen great-grandchildren. Funeral will be 1 p.m. MST Monday at Syracuse Church of the Nazarene. Visitation will be prior to the service from 9 to 11:30 a.m. MST at the church. Memorials are suggested to the church, in care of Greene-Fellers Funeral Home, Box 1253, Syracuse, Kansas 67878.
