  • Obituary

Sadly nothing was written on Leota. She passed away when she was 8-9 years old from polio. The reason why there isn't any record of her death is because the local minister refused to even say a prayer outside the family home in fear of catching polio. So her father Coda Wicks was forced to bury her himself. Coda as a result stopped going to church.
