    Lewis William Fenton Jr. was born to Lewis William Fenton (1876-1941) and Anna (Baker) Fenton (1876-1941) and had fifteen siblings. They are: Boyda Harrison (1892-1963), Buyde (1896-1897), Mildred Susan (1898-1959), Leontine "Teeny" (1900-1974), Rufus Fay (1902-1980), Raymond A. (1903-1975), Lewis Blair (born/died in 1906), Edmond "Ted" Yeager (1907-1975), Novella Gladys (1910-1973), Mazie Cleora (1912-1990), Dorothy Lucile (born/died in 1914), Clayton Donald (1915-1984), Walter Clarence (1915-1985), Norman Richard (1917-1992), and Fred B. Fenton (1919-2003). A World War 2 Veteran, Lewis enlisted in the United States army on January 1 1943 and served until his discharge on January 1st 1945. He worked for Corning Inc for over 50 years. He married Laura Jean Stevens (1932-2000) on June 29th 1951 in Elmira, Chemung County, New York and they had seven daughters and four sons, including Matilda Jane (Fenton) Beatty who was born in 1953 and passed away in 2016.

    The following appeared in the Star-Gazette in Elmira New York on Friday May 11th 2007: Fenton, Lewis W. Sr. A resident of the Pine City community passed away peacefully Thursday morning, May 10, 2007 at his home with his loving family at his side at the age of 86. Born on December 17, 1920 in Wyalusing, PA, Lew was the son of Lewis & Anna Baker Fenton. Lew married Laura J. Stevens on June 29, 1951 in Elmira. He was employed for Corning Inc. with over 50 years of active and retired service. An outdoorsman, he enjoyed hunting and fishing. A true sportsman, Lew was an avid bowler and league champion at Dixie Lanes; he also followed NASCAR and was a Jeff Gordon fan. He is survived by his loving family of seven daughters and four sons and their families; Evelyn (Daryl) Fields, Elmira; Kathleen Fenton, Elmira; Larry Fenton, Lowman; Leonard Sr. (Anne) Fenton, Webb Mills; Lynn Fenton, Webb Mills; Matilda Beatty, Elmira; Joanne Eastwood, Webb Mills; Donna (Phil) Riley, Pine City; Lewis Fenton Jr., Webb Mills; Marcella (Art Rozell) Mathews, Wellsburg; Sandy Miller, Crystal River, FL; many cherished grandchildren and great grandchildren; a sister-inlaw, Marge Stevens Millerton, PA; a brother-in-law, Kenneth Stevens, Hudson, FL. In addition to his parents, Lew was predeceased by his loving wife, Laura Fenton in 2000, and his grandson, William Hildebrand Jr in 1999. Lew was the last surviving sibling of thirteen. Family and friends will be received at the Caywood's Funeral Home & Gardens, 1126 Broadway, Southport on Sunday May 13, 2007 between the hours of 5-8 p.m. Funeral services will take place Monday morning at 10 a.m. in the First Church of Nazarene, 1136 Broadway, Southport with the Reverend Chris Curry officiating. Committal services will follow in Ashland Cemetery, Wellsburg, NY, where full military honors will be accorded Mr. Fenton.
