I always remember cooking in the kitchen with my mommy, she would call me with her strong voice and say come in the kitchen and watch me cook. I dont want your husband telling me you cant cook. So I would watch her as she made everything in that kitchen. As she would prepare the food with such grace..she would sing her favorite rancheras.. her most favorite to sing was Mercedes Castro.. I would join in and mimmick her. That is how I began singing.

Big Linda la Guera
She was a strong woman with a big heart and could sing your socks off. My mother was my hero and I miss her all the time. If anyone needed a place to stay because they were struggling, our doors were always open. So we always had someone living with us through the years. On Thanksgiving we would make plates and give them to the homeless people under the bridges. I miss her voice and her big bear hugs and her cooking. She will forever be in my heart. Love you always mommy...

My mommy the strongest woman I knew. She had a big HEART and loved her family. She loved singing rancheras and ramon Ayala songs. She may not have made it big but her voice carries on in my heart. The end of her life she sang for Jesus and is still singing for Jesus in Heaven. Love you mom...

I used to remember mom waking me up.. and saying come on we have alot of people coming over today so I need you in the kitchen. She would invite everybody from her favorite hangout. Oh my Lord! We always had everyone coming over to eat her menudo. God I miss your menudo mom.. She was always serving everyone, and me right beside her doing the same.. I guess I got my servants heart from her. Thank you Lord for giving me such a strong mother.
