My grandpa was a hard working man who had real estate ventures. My grandma Victoria Torres left him real estate properties to manage. I remember my grandpa always being so sweet and generous to me.

I always remember cooking in the kitchen with my mommy, she would call me with her strong voice and say come in the kitchen and watch me cook. I dont want your husband telling me you cant cook. So I would watch her as she made everything in that kitchen. As she would prepare the food with such grace..she would sing her favorite rancheras.. her most favorite to sing was Mercedes Castro.. I would join in and mimmick her. That is how I began singing.
