    Lon Owens Bilyeu's father was James Wyatt Bilyeu (1871 - 1952 and his mother was Virginia "Jenny" Sumpter (1872 - 1960). He had siblings Mettie, James Everet, Celia, Clell, and Emery. When Lon was 18, he and his family were living in Galloway, Missouri. They were living on a farm and besides father Wyatt, Lon and (James) Everet were also working on the farm. Lon married Minnie Woodall on November 23, 1916 in Ozark, Missouri and had children Burl, Gerald, Genevieve, and Christine, all of California. When Lon was 50, he was living in Long Beach, California, and was 5 feet 7 inches, and weighed 150 pounds. He had blue eyes and gray hair, and a ruddy complexion. He had a scar on his right foot and a cataract on his left eye. The last 10 years of his life, he lived in Vallejo, California.
