Loretta Lois (Franklin) Cochran was born on June 4, 1940 in Noble, Cleveland County, Oklahoma United States to Rita Hawtene (McDonald) Franklin and Leon Robert Franklin, and had siblings Carl James Franklin, Vera Marlene (Franklin) Short, Joyce Ann Franklin, Roberta Carol (Franklin) Dodd-Tarp, and Kenneth Dale "Kenny" Franklin. She married Elmer Richard "Richard" Cochran, and had children Richard Dean Cochran and Karen Cochran. Loretta Cochran died at age 67 years old on November 27, 2007.

    Loretta Lois Cochran, 67, died Tuesday, Nov. 27, at Norman Regional Hospital. Services are 2 p.m. today at Memorial Chapel Funeral Chapel with Dr. Cleve Haley officiating. Burial will be at Fairview Maguire Cemetery, Noble. She was born to Leon and Rita (McDonald) Franklin June 4, 1940, in Noble. Mrs. Cochran was a lifetime resident of Cleveland County. She graduated from Norman High School and was of the Baptist faith. On April 11, 1958, she and Richard Cochran were married in Gainesville, Texas. Mrs. Cochran was employed as a cafeteria manager at Madison Elementary School for the past 15 years. Mrs. Cochran was preceded in death by her parents and a sister Marlene Short. Those who survive her include her husband, Richard of the home; a son Richard Dean Cochran of Noble; daughter Karen Cochran of Noble; brothers Carl Franklin of Oklahoma City, Ken Franklin of Norman; sister Roberta Tarp of Slaughterville; and many other relatives and friends. Donations may be made to Parkinson's Disease Foundation or Susan G. Koner Breast Cancer Foundation.
