Couple killed in collision with train is identified

ISOM, Ky. - Authorities have released the names of a Florida couple who died when a train hit their car in Isom. Dr. Earl Taulbee 65, and his wife, Lucille, 70, of Ocala, were killed at 3:35 p.m. Sunday, Kentucky State Police said yesterday. Officers said the rail crossing's signals were working.
Earl Taulbee was a native of Wolfe County and a retired psychologist from the Veterans Administration Medical Center in Asheville, N.C. Lucille Taulbee was a native of Nebraska and a retired nurse for the Veterans Administration Medical Center in Bay Pines, Fla.
His survivors include his mother, Ida Taulbee of Lee City, Ky.; two sisters, Margaret Williams of Malone, Ky., and Edna Taulbee of Lee City; and a brother, Roy Taulbee of Milford, Ohio.
A joint funeral will be held at 11 a.m. tomorrow at Potter Funeral Home in West Liberty, with burial in Evans Cemetery in Campton. Visitation will be at the funeral home after 6 p.m. today.
