Lucy married French poet and art historian Yves Bonnefoy (June 24th, 1923 - July 1st, 2016) and the couple lived together until his passing in Paris France. On March 11th, 1972 Lucille gave birth to Mathilde Bonnefoy who is an awarded film editor and director in France. Mathilde is likely best known as the editor of the 1998 film 'Run Lola Run'.
