Mae Elizabeth (Summers) Barr 1923 - 2010

Mae Elizabeth (Summers) Barr of Nitro, Putnam County, WV was born on May 21, 1923 in Pliny to Guy Webster Summers and Ruby Jewell (DeVore) Summers. Mae Barr had siblings Esta (Summers) Legue, Garnette (Summers) Shawkins, John Summers, Harold Summers, and Melvin Summers. She married Roy Lee Payne in 1967, and they were married until Roy's death in 1999. Mae's partner was John Russell Barr, and they had children James Webster Barr, Mary Elizabeth Barr, and Amy Elizabeth (Nowlin) Ashworth. Mae Barr died at age 87 years old on August 4, 2010 in Leon, Mason County, and was buried in Morgantown, Monongalia County.
