Malcolm Murchison of Castlemaine, Mount Alexander Shire County, VIC Australia was born on January 4, 1823 in Portree, Highland Council County, Scotland United Kingdom. He was married to Flora Mckay Finlayson, and had children Annie (Murchison) Gard, Catherine Mcleod (Murchison) Buchanan, Christina Ann (Murchison) Clarke, and Flora Nicholson (Murchison) Finlayson.
