Obituary

Marian J. Klauzinski, 91, of Holden passed away peacefully after a brief illness. He was born in Lodz, Poland and was a survivor of the Auschwitz and Flossenberg concentration camps (1941-1945). Soon after WWII, he met and married his loving and devoted wife, Maria (Jan. 20, 1946). Marian and Maria had a son, Richard, in 1947. In 1950 they came to the United States. They had two more sons, Henry and George. Henry passed away in 1988. Marian is survived by his wife, Maria, two sons, Richard and George, daughters-in-law, Elizabeth and Carol Klauzinski, his grandchildren, Alice, Philip, and Christopher Klauzinski, and his great-grandchildren, Dalton, Catherine, and Luke H.

In 1920, in the year that Marian J Klauzinski was born, Italian born factory worker Nicola Sacco and fish peddler Bartolomeo Vanzetti were picked up by police on May 5th in connection with the April 15th murder and robbery of a guard and a paymaster at the Slater and Morrill Shoe Company in South Braintree, Mass. Although in later years they were thought to be innocent, they were anarchists and were convicted of the crime and put to death.
