    MARIE SGANDURRA AGE: 83 MATAWAN Marie Sgandurra, 83, of Matawan, passed away Wednesday, Sept. 17, at home. She was a homemaker. Marie was born in New York City and resided in Brooklyn, N.Y. and Marlboro before moving to Matawan 14 years ago. She was a volunteer at Monmouth Medical Center, Long Branch and Bayshore Community Hospital, Holmdel. She was devoted to her family and she loved to cook. She was predeceased by her parents, Anthony and Mary Cultrera; her husband of 47 years, Thomas F. Sgandurra, in 1992; and a son, Thomas Joseph Sgandurra, in 1977. She is survived by three daughters and sons-in-law, Marie and Douglas Lonergan of Middletown, Joann and Frank Huza of Aberdeen, and Margaret and Bernard Moogan of Cedar Grove; two sisters, Jean Graffeo of Birmingham, Ala., and Josephine Ruggerio of Orlando, Fla.; and five grandchildren, Michelle Dougherty and her husband Gregory, Robert Huza, and Sara, Thomas and Rachel Moogan. Visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. today at the Waitt-Nelms Funeral Home, 501 Highway 79, Morganville. A Funeral Mass will take place at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Clement Church, Matawan, followed by interment in Long Island National Cemetery, Pinelawn, Long Island, N.Y. Donations can be made in her name to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, Tribute Program, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105. Online condolences can be sent by visiting
