Marie (Leonard) Lovejoy was born to Herbert Leonard (1882 - 1964) and Alice Jackson (1889 - 1987). Both of her parents were born in Alabama. She had seven siblings and was preceded in death by two brothers and three sisters. She was survived by two brothers, John and Willie Leonard. LOVEJOY, Mrs. Marie Age 92 of Dayton departed this life Friday, April 24, 1998. She was a native of Tallassee, Alabama and had resided in Ohio over 30 years. She was preceded in death by her husband, Norman Lovejoy, son, Robert Hoyle and daughters Lillie Hicks and Anna Hoyle, 3 sisters, 2 brothers, and 3 step-children. Survivors include 2 daughters, Albertina Cole, Akron, Ohio and Catherine (Odell) Smith, Dayton; son, Ernest Hoyle, Akron, Ohio; 2 brothers, John (Narcissus) Leonard, Willie (Eula) Leonard; 2 step-children; 17 grandchildren. A host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and many dear friends. Funeral services will be Tuesday, 1:00 PM at H. H. Roberts Funeral Home, 38 So. Gettysburg Avenue. Bro. Odell Smith, officiating. Interment Jefferson View Cemetery. Friends may call 11:30 AM until time of services.
