    Marion Alonzo JONES was b. 19 Jul 1871 in Freeburg or Richview, IL to parents George Washington JONES (1840-1925) and Mary Melissa WILDERMAN (1842-1914) who were married 4 Feb 1864 in St. Clair Township, St. Clair Co., IL. Marion was one of three children born to this couple including a brother William Wilderman JONES (1866-1943) and a sister, Alice Maud JONES (1880-1882). Marion married Martha “Mattie” Bell LYONS (1875-1962) on 11 Oct 1893 in Beaucoup, IL and they had three children including Hilda Florence; Milton Lyons; and Marion Alonzo JONES, all born between 1895 and 1901. Marion died 23 Mar 1942 in Canteen Township, St. Clair Co., IL and he is buried in the Beaucoup Cemetery in Beaucoup, IL.

I have in my possession an old photograph identified as that of Marion JONES of Beaucoup, IL. The photograph appears to have been taken in the 1880's or 1890's with Marion appearing to be in his 20's at the time the photograph was taken. Based on limited research I was able to gather the following information regarding Marion and his family:

Marion Alonzo JONES was b. 19 Jul 1871 in Freeburg or Richview, IL to parents George Washington JONES (1840-1925) and Mary Melissa WILDERMAN (1842-1914) who were married 4 Feb 1864 in St. Clair Township, St. Clair Co., IL.
