Hi....Thanks for pointing that out....I got the picture with the names already on it from a distant relative..I wondered where the George fit in..because I have a list of the 8 children and did not find a George..I knew the other names were nick-names...Do you know was the picture taken in TX?
I have a web page with some of this info If you want me to direct you there. I am missing some info on this family maybe we could compare notes and I could fill in some of the missing blanks...you might have.

In 1892, in the year that Martha Lee Turner was born, on October 12th, the "Pledge of Allegiance" was first recited in unison by students in U.S. public schools. Composed the previous August by Francis Bellamy, it was to be recited in 15 seconds and originally read: "I pledge allegiance to my Flag and the Republic for which it stands, one nation, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all." "Under God" was added in the 1950's.
Did you know?
In 1907, the showman Florenz Ziegfeld introduced his Ziegfeld Follies. Ziegfeld was inspired by the Folies Bergère of Paris and the show was a step up from the then current vaudeville shows. The top entertainers of the time played in the Follies but the stars were the Ziegfeld girls - beautiful chorus girls in elaborate costumes. For almost a quarter of a century, the Ziegfeld follies were the toast of Broadway.

Deep love of my children, and grandchildren some I've not met yet. I love to garden preserve the food I've grown. Love to go motorcycle riding, but only on Harleys. Lol I like to walk working with my hands. My mouth can get me into trouble at times because I won't sugar coat things. I call it like I see it, Iell it like I see it. As I've at times been told I haven't a filter. Which can be dangerous;) two things I don't like a liar or a thief. I'm pretty easy going, I can adapt to most things easily. I like to try new things see new places any chance I get. I love deeply from my whole being. I like to cook and try different recipes.I love COUNTRY music from a early age. In But I like rock and other genres also just COUNTRY makes me feel home. The sound of steel guitars the mandolin just the old sounds of country music love to sing along. I have a love of all animals both wild and domesticated. I recently lost my most beloved dog whom was like my 4th child:( I will go out of my way to help someone in need or a , rescue a few animals etc.

Media Mogul William Randolph Hearst
William Randolph Hearst was born on April 29th 1863 in San Francisco California during the the middle of the Civil War. His father George Hearst was a millionaire mining engineer who provided William an exemplary education at St. Paul's School in Concord New Hampshire and Harvard. Hearst would eventually become a hugely successful businessman with a 2020 equivalent net worth of $30billion made through his newspaper and media company Hearst Communications. He was a pioneer in the art of mixing business and politics and emphasized sensationalism to attract attention. He leveraged news headlines in a new way that could be argued is similar to today's politically minded "fake news".
