Man Dies After Attack
A man who was beaten and stabbed in front of his home became the city's 79th murder victim of the year Sunday.

The victim was Martin Fonseca, 17, of 1427 Dahlgreen Ave. According to accounts given police, Fonseca had been involved in an incident with another man at a drive-in restaurant and was telling his wife about the incident when a carload of men pulled up in front of the house.

Witnesses told police that the men called for Fonseca to go outside and when he did, he was pulled outside the yard and attacked.

The incident occurred at about midnight. Fonseca died at Bexar County Hospital later Sunday morning.
