    Marvin Melvin White was born to Frank Burton White (1877 - 1960) and Anetta Maude Javens (1878 - 1949). His father was born in Michigan and his mother was born in Ohio. He had three brothers and six sisters. Marvin White married Ruth M. Prutzman (1924 - 2022) in October of 1945 and they had two sons and one daughter. He was survived by eleven grandchildren.

    MARVIN M. WHITE Marvin M. White, 66, of 41 N. Mill Street, Saint Clair, died Wednesday in his home. He was born in Mount Pleasant, Michigan, a son of the late Frank and Maude Javens White. He was a retired employee of Alcoa, Cressona; a member of Alcoa 25-year Club and Primitive Methodist Church, Saint Clair. He served on the church trustee board for several years. A World War II Army veteran, Mr. White was with the Third Armored Division and received the Purple Heart. He was preceded in death by a granddaughter in 1975 and two brothers and two sisters. Surviving are his wife, the former Ruth Prutzman; a daughter, Ruth Jean Cappella, Saint Clair; two sons, Marin and Rodney, both of Siant Clair; 11 grandchildren; a brother Glenn, Naples, Florida; sour siters Bessie Raske, Zelma Daniels, Flora Holton and Florence Hutchinson, all of the St. louis area of Michigan; nieces and nephews. Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday from James H. Evans Funeral Home Inc., Saint Clair. The Rev. George Kropp will officiate. Interment will be in Odd Fellows Cemetery, Saint Clair. James H. Evans and Lacinda Evans Ferugio are in chegre of arrangements. - Pottsville Republican (Pottsville, Pennsylvania) Thursday, May 23, 1985, page 2.
