Mary Biddle was born in 1782 to George Cowdell and Jane Thomas, and had siblings Ann Cowdel, Lucretia Cowdel, Penelope Cowdel, George Cowdell, William Thomas Cowdell, John Cowdell, and Harriet Cowdell. She was in a relationship with Henry Biddle, and had children Mary Ann Biddle, Jane Biddle, Henry Biddle, Eliza Biddle, George Biddle, Ann Biddle, Hannah Biddle, Richard Biddle, Harriet Biddle, William Biddle, and Samuel Biddle. Mary Biddle died at age 52 years old in 1834 at hay breconshire wales.
