Mary Elizabeth (Elden) Hanby of Prahran, City of Stonnington County, VIC Australia was born in 1871 in Mount Moriac, Surf Coast Shire County to Charles Joseph Elden and Elizabeth Fanny Dowden Elden. She had siblings John Frederick Elden, Charlotte Maria Elden, Harry Elden, and Charles Edward Elden. She married Alfred Ernest Hanby, and had children Bruce Elden Hanby, Heather Alexandra Hanby, John Noel Hanby, and Nancy Jean Hanby. Mary Hanby died at age 75 years old on April 15, 1947 in South Melbourne, Port Phillip City County.
