Mary Elizabeth (Kennon) Bolling was born to Dr. Colonel Richard Kennon (1650 - 1696) and Elizabeth Worsham (1651 - 1743). Her father was born in Virginia, as was her mother. At that time, Virginia was a part of British Colonial America. She had seven siblings: Elizabeth, Martha, Richard - who died when he was 4 years old, William, Judith, Richard Jr., and Sarah Kennon. Mary Kennon married John Fairfax Bolling (1676 - 1727) in 16i97 in Virginia and they had eight children: six daughters, Jane, Jane Kennon, Elizabeth, Mary, Martha, and Anne; and two sons, Colonel John, and William Bolling.
