She married Melvin Pete "Pete" Giessing, and had a child Gloria Jean (Giessing) Nossett-Lambert. Mary Giessing died at age 92 years old on December 12, 2005 in Farmington.

    Mary Giessing FARMINGTON - Mary Louise Gisssing of Farmington passed away on December 12, 2005, at Presbyterian Manor at the age of 92 years. She was born September 19, 1913, in Desloge, the daughter of the late Charles and Audrey (Cook) Bryan. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Melvin "Pete" Giessing, and three brothers, Shelton Bryan, William Henry Bryan, and Robert Bryan. Mrs. Giessing was a member of the St. Paul Lutheran Church. She loved to sing and enjoyed playing the organ, autoharp, and the dulcimer. She and the late Robert Cozean made an album titled "He Touched Me." She loved her Lord, her music, and her golfing. She worked for many years as a financial adviser. She is survived by a daughter, Gloria Jean Lambert of Springfield, MO., three granddaughters, Stephanie, Annette, and Mary Kay, a sister, June Harris, and sister-in-law Margie Bryan, both of Desloge, special friend Thelma Reeder of Farmington and several great-grandchildren. Numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends also survive. Friends may call at the Cozean Memorial Chapel from 3:30 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, December 14, 2005. Visitation will resume at 7:30 a.m. on Thursday. A funeral service will follow at 10:30 a.m. at the Cozean Chapel with the Hospice Chaplains, the Rev. Ralph Burris and Rev. Jim Frago officiating. Burial will be at the Lutheran Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to the Presbyterian Manor Hospice. Visit cozeanfuneralhome.com for obituary and online condolences.
