Maude Anna (Nelson) Houseman of Anna, Union County, IL was born on September 16, 1920 in Grand Tower, Jackson County to Dain Nelson and Clara M. (Jones) Nelson. She had siblings Lavern Nelson, Howard Nelson, Ray Nelson, Odrie Nelson, Edward Nelson, Carroll Nelson, Essie (Nelson) O'Dell, Audrey (Nelson) Stelk, Bessie (Nelson) Newman, and Cora (Nelson) McRaven. She was in a relationship with Thomas W. Granger, and had children Thomas Dale Granger, Curtis L Denny, Donna Jeanne (Granger) Stamm, Mark Lydall Granger, and Victor Belz. Maude Houseman died at age 79 years old on October 15, 1999 at Jonesboro Health Care Center in Jonesboro, and was buried at Walker Hill Cemetery in Grand Tower.
