May Blackney died at age 27 years old on April 23, 1919 in Kensington.

BLACKNEY. - On the 23rd April, at her mother's residence, Barnett-street, Kensington, May, the beloved daughter of Mary Jane Blackney, and loving sister of Mary, Sarah, Lucy, Ethel, James, Alfred, George and Harry, late of Chiltern. Age 28 years. - Ever remembered.
