Mike was the son of Hungarian immagraints who settled on a farm in Proctor, Vermont. Mikes Father John worked for Vermont Marble Company as did his Mikes ilder brother John. Mikes mother Mary raised the children in total there was 11 or 12 children two died young. Mikes first language was Hungarian which he spoke athome His parents did not learn english and it wasnt until Mike and his siblings enterd school that they learned to speak english. Mike entered the military as a young man and was sent to England during WWII. There the met his wife Patricia. Wilson. He met her while she was working to help her friend and family at their local pub. Though it took Mike several times asking Patricia out she finally agreed. They were married in England and soon to follow was not only the end of the war but the birth of their first son Michael John. Mike then left England to come back to Proctor VT to prepare for his wife and sons arrival. As like most war couples they were seperated while the husband found work and a home then the wife would join her husband. Mike began working at Vermont Marble Company and aquired a place for his family to live. It would take over a yr for Patricia to come to the United States for not only did she need the correct paperwork but so did their son. But the wait paid off and Mike would pick his wife and son up when they arrived by boat to thr United States. At this time Michael j was two yrs old. Two yrs later Mike and Patricia would have a second son Paul Richard. That would complete the family. The family continued to live in Proctor until Patricia and Mikes deaths. Mike lost his wife when she was hit and killed by a drunk driver. The loss of his love changed Mike. He livex with his son Paul in the house he bought. He enjoyed.fishing with his buddies and took his kids fishing. Mike had trapped animals on the side for extra money for his family. Mike was a hard worker and fearless which allowed him to do jobs others were afraid to do. Mike and his brothers al worked many yrs for Vermont Marble and both Mikes sons Michael J. and Paul also worked at Vermont Marble for a short period of time. Mike joined his wife in 1982 when he passed at his home
