Add Memories, Stories & Photos about Minnie

Only warm distant memories taken by psycho: I remember going with my grandad to his moms for lunch after church on Sundays. I remember how my grandad changed, became withdrawn, not so spontaneous. I re,member things being kept kind of quiet with details of her death amongst the young men in the family. Years would pass before I found out what had happened the day my uncle and grandad found her brutally murdered in her Lubbock home in 1984. A friend of hers son, which she knew and had help out in the passed had beaten and stabbed her to death. My family to this day will not speak of the horror that they encountered in that house when they found her. The same place that I had associated with 4 generations of family gathered in one home on Sundays full of smiles and eager for one of her fantastic Sunday dishes, now became a place I won't drive by to this day. Richard Allen Kuykendall killed her in her own home when she wouldn't give him any more money. My family has attended every parole hearing and I plan on continuing the quest to keep him in the Texas prison system. Sometimes I think how bad things would have gone for him if he would have been released while my grandad was still alive. Other times I wish he would have been released.
