    Miriam E. Satterthwaite, 92, of Fort Wayne, passed away Monday, Feb. 16, 2015. Surviving are daughter, Patricia A. Thompson; and grand daughters, Amy M. France (39) of Indianapolis and Laura J. Banda France (42) of Massachusetts. She was preceded in death by husband, Dale Satterthwaite, in 1972; and daughter, Jill D. France, in 2014

Miriam was extremely close with her 2 grand daughters; Laura J. Banda France and Amy M. France since the day they were born, and thru-out her entire life. She was a wonderful grandmother, second mother, and best friend to those 2 girls. She always had the girls spend the night when they were little, loved cooking breakfast, and doing their hair. She loved having her grand daughters over during the Holiday's, loved taking them shopping at the mall, taking them out to breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and all 3 of them did gardening together, painted finger/toe nails, sun bathed, etc... Laura and Amy loved their grandmother more than anything, and this is a huge lose in their lives. They are both grateful to have shared their entire life and wonderful memories from the time they were born until the day Miriam passed. It is very difficult for both Laura and Amy to no longer have their grandmother here to talk to, or just simply hug & kiss. However, Laura and Amy have each other who still grieve together, talk about the wonderful memories and life they did have with grandma. They know that her wonderful spirit will always remain within them. The sisters who live in different states talk weekly about their grandma, and have built a stronger relationship together, because they both know that nobody but them will understand the strong loving relationship Miriam had with her only 2 grand daughters.
