Moritz Edward Simmonds Phillips was born in 1883 to Thomas Trewren Phillips and Clara Jane (Simmonds) Phillips, and had a brother Ernest Victor Hugo Phillips. He married Lena May (Black) Phillips, and had children Violet Phillips, Jean Phillips, Iris Kathleen (Phillips) Marchment, and Joyce Coleman. Moritz Phillips died at age 73 years old on June 21, 1957 at Seddon VIC, Australia in Seddon, City of Maribyrnong County, VIC Australia, and was buried at Fawkner Memorial Park 1187 Sydney Rd, in Hadfield, City of Moreland County.
