Moses Johnson II, born Oct 5, 1738, Holliston, MA; died Nov 17, 1803, Leicester, VT, was not married to Elizabeth UNDERWOOD...she married a different Moses Johnson, Apr 4, 1728, Southborough, MA...
Records indicate that this Moses Johnson (my lineage) was not married to Elizabeth "UNDERWOOD". Elizabeth "Unknown Last Name" was this Moses Johnson's wife. Moses Johnson, this one, and Elizabeth "Unknown Last Name" (no history on her), had several children: Sibbellah (some records spell it Sabillah) "Sibyl" Johnson, born 1775; Moses C. Johnson, born 1777; Silas Johnson, born Feb 3, 1779, ALL born Dublin, Cheshire, New Hampshire. It was thought that Silas Johnson was Simeon Johnson (Moses Johnson, born Oct 5, 1738, older brother), but, Silas's birth and death certificates indicate that Moses was Silas's father. Simeon and his wife, Elizabeth Stone, had a son, Adam Johnson, who is Silas's cousin' not his brother (as some records and genealogy books state). Regarding Moses Johnson who was married to Elizabeth UNDERWOOD, he is Moses A. Johnson II, born April 4, 1728, Southborough, MA. His wife, Elizabeth Underwood, born April 29, 1729, Needham, MA (who's parents are John Johnson and Abigail Flegg resided and died in Natick, MA) was, in fact, married on Jan 29, 1752, Newton, MA, to Elizabeth Underwood "from Natick" per marriage certificate (to Moses Johnson "from South borough" per certificate). His father is Moses A. Johnson I, born Sept 25, 1700 (per Sons of American Revolution Membership Application - SAR Application #57154, approved Jan 24, 1939). That Moses A. Johnson II & Elizabeth Underwood, had two sons: Enoch Johnson, born Aug 22, 1753, Southborough, MA and Moses A. Johnson III, born Oct 13, 1755, South borough, MA. I hope that this information is received well by other relations of these two families. It is confirmed information, no matter what some of the genealogy state. Some of that information is, apparently, wrong.
