Her 1967 yearbook listed her activities as: FHA, years 3 & 4, FMPA Candy Striper, year 4, and Chorus, years 1, 3, and 4. She also graduated from Nicholls State University with honors and from Loyola University with a graduate degree in Pastoral Theology.

    Myra worked for nine years at South Central Bell in New Orleans for nine years. She then worked at the School for Exceptional Children and Coteau-Bayou Blue School in human services. She also tutored children after school.

    Myra Frances Trahan was born to John Trahan (1922 - 2000) and Florence Marie Malbrough (1925 - 2018). Her mother was born in Louisiana, as were Myra's grandparents and their parents. She had one brother, Jimmy A. Trahan.

    Myra Frances Trahan, 59, a native and resident of Terrebonne Parish, died at 10:45 a.m. on Monday, July 13, 2009. Visitation will be from 5:30 to 9 p.m. today at Chauvin Funeral Home and from 9 a.m. to funeral time Wednesday at St. Francis de Sales Cathedral. Mass will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at the church, with burial in St. Francis de Sales Cemetery No. 2. She is survived by her mother, Florence Marie Malbrough Trahan. She was preceded in death by her father, John "J.C." Trahan; and brother, Jimmy Trahan. She was a parishioner of St. Francis de Sales Cathedral. She graduated from Terrebonne High School, Nicholls State University with honors and from Loyola University with a graduate degree in Pastoral Theology.
