My great aunt Nell was born in Illinois and grew up the oldest of 9 kids in Wellington, Kansas. Her dad was James anders Byers and her mom was Nora Jane Yates byers. She was an organizer and active lodge member: eastern star, daughters of the Nile, and others. In Los Angeles she worked for the city, mostly the admissions desk at the exposition park community pool. Her first husband was mr. Loveless and her second husband was Marion Ray carter. Ray worked for the adohr creamery, but they laid him off one day before he could collect his retirement from them, the bastards. Nell took care of family and was very generous and loving.
