Nelma Lee (Condrey) Highland was born on January 1, 1920 to Frank Condrey and Dona Pearl Lard, and had siblings Clifford Dee Condrey, Jewell Florine (Condrey) Qualls, Ruby Earline (Condrey) Qualls, John Dee Condrey, Flora Laverne (Condrey) Hancock, Janice Nadine (Condrey) Whitman, and Betty Fay (Condrey) Greenway. She married Rob C Highland, and had a child Roy C Highland. Nelma Highland died at age 81 years old on June 30, 2001.

Nelma Lee Highland, 81, Montreat Apartments, Florence, died Saturday, June 30, 2001. Visitation was Sunday at Greenview Funeral Home. The funeral will be at 10 a.m. today at the funeral home, with burial in Greenview Memorial Park.Mrs. Highland was a native and lifelong resident of Lauderdale County.Officiating at the funeral will be Norman Hargett.Mrs. Highland is survived by her sons, Roy C. Highland and wife, Paula, Florence, Jimmy Highland and wife, Doris, Killen; daughter, Emogene Boyd and husband, Joe, Florence; sisters, Laverne Hancock, Florence, Nadine Whitman, Truman, Ark., Betty Greenway, Truman, Ark., Shirley Hammond, Little Rock, Ark.; brother, Billy Condrey, Tampa, Fla.; seven grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren.Mrs. Highland was preceded in death by her husband, Rob C. Highland.Pallbearers will include Troy Highland, Victor Boyd, Tony Rhoden, Roland Irons, Frank Highland, Jeff Mansel, Lan Jones and Bobby Green.Mrs. Highland was a member of Macedonia Church of Christ.Memorials may be made to the Macedonia Church of Christ library.Greenview Funeral Home of Florence is directing.
