  • Obituary

    Roy C. Highland, 74, of Florence, died Monday July 6, at Mitchell Hollingsworth following an extended illness. Burial will be in Greenview Memorial Park with friends and family serving as pallbearers. Mr. Highland was born in Florence to the late Rob C. Highland and Nelma Lee Condrey Highland. He was retired from Ford Motor Company and an active member of Woodmont Baptist Church where he was a member of Bill Inskeep’s Sunday School Class, The Pairs and Spares. Survivors are his wife, Paula Artis Highland; son, Robert Troy Highland (Melanie), Knoxville, TN; daughter, Jennifer Jones (Lan), Florence; brother, Jimmy Highland (Doris), Florence; sister, Emogene Boyd (Joe), Florence; grandchildren, Brittany Highland, Knoxville, Lindsey Highland, Orlando, Florida, Bailey Highland Knoxville and Ben Jones, Evan Jones, and Will Jones all of Florence. Greenview Funeral Home, Florence, Alabama in charge of Arrangements.
